Hickory Glen

Sanctuary, the city of the white beast, lies along the route to Astoria, nestled deep within the mountains. The city’s presence is easily discerned from a distance, as its centerpiece is the towering watchtower that reaches an impressive 100 feet in height. It is said that this tower provides a vantage point from which one can observe the whole valley leading to Astoria Lake.

The city has approximately half of its homes embedded into the solid stone wall of the mountain, while the remaining structures stand freely on the ground, surrounded by rocky terrain. Near the slope of the mountain, one can spot numerous lifts and ladders, offering access to the upper levels. Additionally, a wide staircase, closer to the city’s center, provides a primary route to reach the well-adorned buildings situated there.

From this central area, slender walkways extend along the city’s wall, connecting homes, temples, and workshops. Nestled at the top of the staircase, within the very heart of the mountain, lies the Sanctuary of White Beast. Here, albino Beastly serve the gods, leading a life isolated from the rest of society.

Beneath the sanctuary, in a spacious cavern, lies the city’s bustling marketplace. This marketplace serves as a hub for merchants from all corners of the world, drawn in by goods available here. These include smoked meats, wines, and other regional delicacies, but also the incredible machinery crafted by the city’s animators, hex artisans and constructors. While these artisanal creations are relatively rare, those who can afford them zestfully make purchases.
