Hollow Steps

This desolate land, situated to the north of Verdalia, is the ancestral home of the forgotten civilization of Mili and their remarkable automaton creations. For those sailing along its shores, the gleam from the black tower, an ancient lighthouse, still cuts through the darkness, serving as a beacon to this day. Occasionally, Artifex are spotted traversing the Nasara Forest and making their way to the city of Karton, but such individuals are exceedingly rare and possess no memory of their origin. The ruins scattered across this region often serve as the basis for numerous folk tales, sparking the imagination of adventurers who embark on perilous journeys into these mysterious lands. Those fortunate enough to return from these treacherous expeditions typically do so bearing tattered garments and a trove of valuable artifacts. They bring tales of Rust walkers and Collectors — fearsome machines that call the Hollow Steps their home.
