Kambala

Regional merchandise: vehicles, hex materials, exotic fish, spices.

Between Azul Bay and the Zatara Jungle lies the Kambala Kingdom. Closer to the jungle, we find the endless savanna, while further to the southwest, vast and mostly devoid of trees, grasslands stretch. In proximity to the Karamundu Mountain, there are extensive wetlands, home to the city of Paragon. A layer of black smoke, emitted by the city’s factory, shrouds the sky around Paragon. Journeying east through the city of Barandu, one arrives at the City of Lisokari, a pivotal crossroad connecting the Zatara Jungle to Kambala Kingdom, and the Land of Verdalia via the city of Serandu. Traveling west through the city of Numambi leads to Omati, the largest inhabited city in this region, housing approximately 50 thousand citizens of diverse races and origins. Moving further west, past the ruined city of Zulu, one arrives in Malory, the granary of Kambala. To the west, the passage closes at the Great Port of Agadesh, offering views of Azul Bay, which still bears many remnants of the Mord civilization, particularly on its southern shores.

Within their enormous kingdom, the citizens of Kambala remain somewhat isolated from other cultures. Those residing in the east, nearer to the Zatara Jungle, enjoy good relations with their neighbors but remain largely unfamiliar with Burgos. Similarly, those in proximity to Azul Bay find Zatara Jungle to be an alien realm. Nevertheless, the people of Kambala are skilled merchants, adept at establishing positive relations, resulting in few enemies. However, they often engage in internal conflicts that can prove quite devastating. Recently, the City of Zulu suffered damage due to a local conflict and is presently undergoing reconstruction. Among the inhabitants of Kambala, the Mebelands’ people are particularly well-liked for their warm temperament, while those from Astoria citizens face some contempt for their attitudes, despite only a wealthy minority displaying such behavior. Many sailors from Burgos and Worgos engage in business here, and as a result, they are generally well-received.

In this expansive land, a diverse array of creatures coexist, encompassing Humans, Beastly, and Virdis. They live harmoniously, with only minor tensions between races. Humans can be found in greater numbers in the southern regions, while Virdis mostly inhabit the northern areas, closer to the swamps. Beastly, representing various animal species, reside throughout the land, with a roughly even distribution. They are typically grouped by their animal nature and species. It’s worth noting that those with characteristics of lynxions and cheeratas are stronger than those with herbivore traits, and often serve as leaders within their kind. Their power commands universal fear, and many have formed some of the most lethal mercenary groups. Among them, Ban Cheera, the leader of the Black Claw, stands out as the most skilled fighter and wisest strategist in the entire region, recognizable by the countless scars on his face. In Kambala one can find the Tribes of Elephant folk. They almost never visit the cities and are contempt with the life in the wild.

Virdis from Kambala almost exclusively specialize in crafting potions, hex machines, working with crystals, and artifacts, often functioning as mages. Their innate affinity for magic, combined with their origins from known hex plants and their long lifespans, positions them as masters of the arcane arts, making them some of the most powerful users of magic. They are well respected grup amongst the common folk.

Human residents of Kambala engage in a wide array of activities, from trade to magic, with a particular focus on combat. They also work in agriculture and various workshops, crafting a wide range of items as inspiration strikes.

Artifex, though present, are not as numerous in the cities. Instead, they have established small villages scattered throughout the land, with a larger community situated near Omati, where over 500 Artifex reside.
