Arboladura
The southern port of Worgos, Arboladura, shares many similarities with Viatroviec on the western side of Morozia. It is characterized by a similar level of lawlessness and bribery, prompting many vessels to avoid this port for obvious reasons. Positioned on the edge of the Pirates Archipelago, Arboladura frequently serves as a destination for rogue ships. This, coupled with the laid-back character of the locals, has made it a haven for thieves and pirates.
If Arboladura were situated on the opposite side of the archipelago, it would have access to alternative international trade routes. However, due to Worgos’ isolated nature, all trade must occur by sea, and few are willing to purchase stolen goods only to be robbed shortly thereafter. The city primarily engages in water-based trade and offers little in the way of domestic production, save for a modest output of tools crafted by local blacksmiths.
Arboladura is constructed along a flat shoreline, with many homes raised on stilts in the water. This layout can make navigating ships through the area challenging, resulting in unfortunate collisions with waterfront houses. The city is well protected from strong winds by a lengthy natural channel extending from the ocean to the harbor. Nestled amidst substantial rock formations, Arboladura enjoys a degree of natural protection from the perils of the surrounding environment.
Although it began as a small hideout in ages past, Arboladura has grown over time to its current population of 8,000 inhabitants. The city’s structural layout is predominantly vertical, with homes stacked one atop the other. Toward the rock walls, beams protrude from the stone on which homes are perched, giving rise to numerous but small residences. These structures are connected by wooden walkways, effectively expanding the city upward. At the entrance to the channel, a small lighthouse stands as a guidepost, assisting ships as they navigate into the harbor.
