Wild Verdaling

Frequently referred to as “Wild Virdis”, these creatures are a source of hate towards plant folk in many regions. Some derogatorily label them as “simple-minded plant folks”, while others describe them as “undeveloped”. However, it’s a consensus that they lean more towards monsters than sentient beings. They eat corpses and can feed on blood that they store in their nests. These wild creatures form primitive societies in the forests and can be found everywhere plants grow. Armed with stolen weapons or simply their sharp appendages, they display a proclivity for inflicting harm on anything they encounter, often including their own. In their small society strength carries the only importance. The bigger they are the more important and often cruel they appear. They attack convoys and creatures alike and are one of the reasons why horse-drawn carriages are rarely used in Nasara forest.

Appearance: At first glance, they could be considered an early form of Virdis, but after closer inspection, they appear much more rough and wild, not only in their appearance but also in their actions. They have the same seeing growth as Virdis but additionally the seem to have fangs or sharp teeth. Their bodies start small, usually less than 4 feet (1.2 meter) in height, but can grow up to 10 feet (3 meters). They always appear in groups of at least three that tend to share common elements that unite them, such as belonging to the same type of plant or colors of their “tribe”.
