Southern drakes (Parvusdraco notoscaeruleus)
While smaller than their dragon relatives, these creatures should not be underestimated. They may lack the ability to breathe fire and have limited flying capabilities, but they are formidable creatures in their own right. Most of the southern drakes reside near the Frozen Isles and are frequently observed migrating deep into the mainland. They sustain themselves by preying on creatures of various sizes, displaying a particular affinity for mistborn creatures. Notably, specialized morozian hunters in the region target southern drakes, focusing on locating and eliminating nests. Younglings that grow rapidly can pose significant threats when older. These hunters utilize every part of the slain drakes, transforming them into leather, extracting useful organs for potion-making, and consuming their meat.
Appearance: Reaching heights of 10 feet (3 meters), these creatures boast a robust and muscular build, armored with scales throughout its entirety. While in their youth, these scales are relatively soft, but they harden over time. Their dragon heads are short and almost square in shape. They are predominantly colored in various shades of blue, with some of the older individuals appearing darker, almost navy. Their legs have talons, with three pointing forward and one at the back. Front appendages for a mix of wings and arms are relatively small, so drakes with bulkier bodies and little to no remaining membrane are rendered incapable of flight. A short yet sturdy tail ends with a spiky growth, which can sometimes be bulbous or resemble a comb-like structure.

Abilities:
- Fear – Due to their imposing size and unsettling appearance, the creature often strikes fear into the hearts of those encountering them, particularly for the first time. All adversaries facing them must make a Bravery check with a difficulty of 8. Should they fail, they become immobilized, able to perform only Bravery checks until they successfully overcome their fear or are compelled to flee from the terrifying presence of the creature.
- 2A Tail whip – The creature whips its tail and deals D12 + Body damage to all creatures it hits.
Where drakes live, mistborns are scarce.
