Nasaran bee (Apis magnus)

The nasaran bee is a general name for 27 species of bees residing in the Nasara Forest. These industrious insects are characterized by their distinctive black and yellow stripes and are approximately the size of a large beetle, which makes them considerably more dangerous. Hives, adequately scaled for their size, are a common sight, often found within the vast redwood trees that dominate the landscape. These remarkable insects exhibit not only efficient work but also a high degree of intelligence and social cooperation within their organized hives.

One of the most notable contributions of nasaran bees is their production of wax and sweet honey, which is stored within their hexagonal honeycombs. However, nasaran bees are far more than just honey producers; they play a pivotal role in ecosystems as essential pollinators. Their activities are instrumental in the reproduction of numerous plant species, including crops that are crucial for the food supply. As such, these bees are well-cultivated mostly by the Virdis.

Appearance: These insects are black and yellow, resembling regular bees (Apis apis), but they are considerably larger, reaching up to 3 inches (7 centimeters) in length. What sets them apart is their permanently exposed stinger, which is visibly hooked. Their pinchers feature red dots at the ends and are dotted with numerous tiny hooks.
