Bone changer 

This peculiar creature is characterized by its unsettling appearance and a unique feeding behavior. These entities consist of a reddish, gelatinous mass with a stringy texture, which derives its structural integrity from the bones it consumes. Bone changers are scavengers, primarily subsisting on decaying corpses. They crawl over these carcasses, assimilating the organic matter into their gelatinous bodies. Through a process of digestion, all that remains after some time are the bones themselves, which eventually dissolve completely. 

Appearance: These beings possess a gruesome and grotesque appearance, resembling a mass of bloody gelatin with bones embedded within. While there are denser regions within this mass, particularly in the frontal area, these elements are not inherently connected to the creature’s biological structure. Remarkably, even without these denser portions, they continue to function normally. One of those portions can be considered its organs but it is almost indistinguishable from the whole body mass.

The bones concealed within this gelatinous form provide a level of rigidity that is otherwise absent. Stringy elements can be observed connecting these bones to the jelly-like substance, allowing these creatures to hold a structured “body”.
