Bogslithers (Serpentis pallidus)
These colossal snakes are primarily found in the wetlands of Waternia but can be occasionally spotted in other marshy regions across the continent. Among their kind, Margumnat the Great Wyrm is known for its astounding size. In 1599 H.T., this immense serpent wrapped itself twice around the walls of Bogmoor before vanishing into the depths of Hound Bay, never to be seen again. They are natural enemies of drakodyles and engage in frequent fights with these reptilians. Ranging from relatively small individuals to gigantic predators capable of devouring humans, their predatory behavior is opportunistic, with a tendency to attack whatever ventures too close. However, their aggression and treacherous nature peak when they are on the move, as this behavior often signifies their hunger. When hunting, they coil themselves around their prey, constricting and choking it until perished. For smaller prey, these serpents have been observed swallowing them whole, alive and struggling.
Appearance: These creatures start out at just a couple of feet long when they’re young and continue growing throughout their lives, sometimes reaching sizes of tens of feet. The largest one ever recorded in history was the aforementioned Margumnat the Great Wyrm. On average, they attain a length of 32 feet (10 meters) and have a diameter of 4 feet (1.2 meters) near the head. They typically sport black or dark green scales with iridescent reflections of various colors along the edges. Their head is slightly larger than their body and resembles those of a dragon, albeit with rounded features.
