City of Ironwall

This grand stronghold is situated at the outflow of the lake, where it once again transforms into a river. Ironwall spans both sides of the river and is connected by a towering bridge that looms high above the rushing waters. Conveniently located rock formations on either side of the river divert its flow, resulting in a modest waterfall. The city’s primary concentration is on the western bank, with many homes there blending together into a wall-like structure. The bridge, too, is a testament to this vertical growth, with numerous residences, shops, and even an inn perched upon it. As the name implies, iron is a prevalent element in the city’s architecture, ensuring both strength and durability in its structures.

The eastern district, boasting a modest number of streets, serves as the primary commercial hub, teeming with shops, inns, workshops—both magical and conventional—and entertainment venues. The bustling main square lies just beyond the colossal southern gate. Exiting the square and proceeding onto the bridge, one eventually arrives at the western gate. The city originally consisted solely of the eastern part, formerly known as the Iron Fortress, but over time, it expanded westward, giving rise to the bridge and the western district.

The narrow street upon the bridge, flanked by towering structures, is perpetually shrouded in shadow. Here stands one of the most renowned taverns, the Iron Swan, where one can engage in any kind of deal, whether it’s legal or illegal. The western section, beyond the bridge, is predominantly residential, with some mechanical and non-magical workshops. Similar to Karagor, magic is largely prohibited in this part of the city, except for crystals that provide illumination, as natural gas is not accessible here.
