Nisos
As the western port of Burgos and the most extensive one on the Southern Ocean, Nisos boasts a unique architectural style distinguished by numerous arches and circles incorporated into its buildings. These distinctive elements set Nisos apart from any other city, and it is rumored that this design originated from a group of individuals, predominantly Humans and Virdis, who shipwrecked here ages ago and later established a settlement.
With a population of around 2,500 residents, Nisos is a diverse city, with people hailing from various corners of the world, including some who arrived from the enigmatic lands to the west. These travelers often speak of the hostile Nation of Porfee, which supposedly lies far to the west. However, most expeditions that venture into the Stormy Ocean either do not return or discover only a few islands inhabited by primitive tribes.
The city itself is situated on a flat beach, with many smaller homes dotting the shoreline. Some of these properties are owned by the wealthy elite from Burgos, Worgos, and Morozia. The Tanga family is widely recognized as the city’s founders and owners, as they are believed to be the descendants of the original shipwreck survivors. Additionally, the Solimonte family from Worgos controls roughly half of the city’s trade, while Morozian families, led by the Garbov family, oversee the other half. Surprisingly, they coexist relatively peacefully, without causing undue trouble for each other.
Nisos is renowned for its fruit production and the crafting of alcoholic beverages, particularly their strong wines and tinctures that are highly praised throughout Misteria. Neglected roads leading to other cities are often flanked by grapevines and plantations bearing exotic fruits, a testament to Nisos’ contribution to the region’s agricultural and culinary wealth.
