Bogmoor
Located deep within the Waternia swamps, Bogmoor is undeniably one of the strangest cities in the region. It appears as if it were built upon a massive rock formation that seems out of place amidst its swampy surroundings, almost as if someone had raised the bedrock up to the water’s edge. However, this seemingly unnatural geological feature has bestowed several advantages upon the city.
First and foremost, it offers a solid foundation for construction. The city has a bustling port with numerous large vessels poised for long journeys, a thriving trade district eager to export goods southward, an extensive underground mine where dedicated miners toil for weeks on end, and a towering watchtower that, much like its Willofen counterpart, serves some unknown purpose, but is always manned at night.
In contrast to the neglect seen in other swamp settlements, Bogmoor boasts well-maintained buildings decorated in the local style, featuring numerous woven and spiral motifs, albeit in a relatively modest manner. The northern part of the city, away from the bustling port activities, caters to the wealthier residents who seem to have lots of free time to enjoy various forms of entertainment.
This section of Bogmoor is adorned with lavishly decorated establishments, including inns, music houses, dance halls, and even art galleries, all awaiting visitors. It’s not uncommon to encounter mischievous individuals here, as Bogmoor tends to attract those who wish to spend their ill-gotten wealth.
