Forests of Mebelands

The larger-than-usual forests east and north of Mebeland share more similarities with the northern Nasara forest than with anything else. The daily appearance of fogs in these regions seems to influence the growth of flora, resulting in trees reaching enormous sizes and other plants relying less on sunlight and more on the fogs themselves. There are plants like blackleaved rowan and leafless oaks that thrive without sunlight, seemingly absorbing the fog. Animals in these forests include creatures that feed on the fog residue, such as Crystal snails, as well as carnivorous predators like black pythons and silverback wolves. While these forests may seem dark during the day, they take on a magical and luminous quality at night, with many plants reflecting the moonlight and illuminating the ground level.
