Yatumaukari

An important port city on the north-to-south route, this place stands out as one of the most hospitable. From a distance, it appears as if the port barely pokes out of the dense forest, with sailors relying solely on the river and a lighthouse for navigation. Many see this place as a neglected ruin, but the reality couldn’t be further from the truth. This bustling metropolis spans over a vast area around the river estuary. Situated on wooden discs that seemingly grow out of the mangrove trees, this city seems to be suspended in the air. These colossal structures may seem like they could snap at any moment, but they stand strong thanks to a combination of magic and resilient materials. The city is a maze of suspended bridges made from woven vines, ladders, and walkways that seemingly connect everything without apparent logic, although the locals know well how to get around.

Beyond the port, few travelers dare to explore deeper into the city, but those who do often find themselves pleasantly surprised by what lies within. There is a local bazaar, located on the wooden platform at the ground floor where many local products can be found. Further in the jungle houses become scarser and bigger with longer bridges leading to them. Those mansions entwine the trees  and climb them resembling towers more than buildings. There are some chapels but most are small and almost hidden from the public. 

As the jungle hides numerous undiscovered mysteries, adventurers—either brave or foolish—frequently arrive here to delve into its depths. A unique market for adventuring equipment arose as a result, including items designed to solve definitely made-up problems that adventurers will surely encounter. You see, there’s a rich tradition of storytelling among the local folks that ignites the imagination. However, they also have a nasty habit of consistently offering answers, whether they possess the knowledge or not. This characteristic extends to trade as well, where it seems they always have what you desire, yet somehow, you never leave with precisely what you initially looked for.
