Mossy mooses (Alces muscosocollo

Mossy mooses are among the largest mammals that inhabit the forests, predominantly in the Wild Lands. They derive their name from their remarkable appearance, characterized by a dense covering of moss that envelops their bodies. This mossy camouflage renders them exceptionally challenging to spot in the forest.

One of the intriguing behaviors exhibited by mossy mooses is their inclination to stand motionless in seemingly absurd locations, blending seamlessly into the surrounding greenery.

While mossy mooses are generally not considered aggressive, they do harbor a strong dislike for the presence of other creatures in close proximity. During their mating season, which is a period of heightened territoriality, they may exhibit unexpected aggression, catching unsuspecting travelers off guard. As a result, it is advisable to exercise caution and avoid approaching mossy mooses during this sensitive time.

Appearance: These creatures typically reach heights of about 7 feet (2 meters) and stretch to a length of 9 feet (2.7 meters), making them tower over all other creatures in their habitat. They possess a massive and wide body with a robust front, along with a distinctive beard beneath their neck and chest area. Their fur is shaggy and carries a greenish hue, often adorned with the growth of mosses. Their antlers resemble thick tree branches, which they frequently become entangled in. Towards the back, their body narrows, culminating in a stumpy tail. Their face is elongated, featuring a horse-like nose and eyes set deep in their sockets.
