Long-leaved vultures (Vulturis dolichofolium

The long-leaved vultures are among the most imposing avian inhabitants of the jungle, known for their remarkable ability to conceal themselves in plain sight while expertly swooping down to steal fallen prey. They typically inhabit regions with fewer trees, using this environment to their advantage. Their opportunistic nature drives them to scavenge virtually anything edible resting on the ground, even extending to travelers who sleep beneath the open sky.

In cases where their prey remains alive, long-leaved vultures resort to a gruesome strategy of killing it by releasing it from great heights. Remarkably, these birds can be identified if one possesses the knowledge and keen eye to recognize their telltale signs.

Appearance: 12 feet (3.6 m) in wingspan and 7 feet (2.1 m) in length, they are some of the biggest birds of the continent. Their feathers, which come in different shapes and sizes, are green and resemble leaves. Their whole body blends well with the environment, with the exception of a red comb that runs along its throat. At the end of a long neck sits its relatively small head with big eyes looking to the sides and a beak ended with a sharp hook similar to eagles.
