Races

There are four main races in the world of Haze. They consist of Humans that have many unique characteristics depending on their place of origin, Beastly who are a mix between the humans and animals, Virdis made of alive growth that possess the power over vegetation and Artifex — the machines of humanoid form that gained consciousness in unknown circumstances.

Humans

Humans in Haze are the most common race with varying appearance, culture, and history. Their unique features, creative inventions and backgrounds make them a versatile and adaptable race within the world.

Beastly

The Beastly race is a unique blend of humans and animals. Their minds lean towards a more primal and instinctual nature, making them more in tune with their tribes and faith. They often hold strong religious beliefs and cherish their traditions in their society. Most come from the Wild Lands but they can be found almost everywhere.

Virdis

Virdis are plant creatures composed of living growth. Many come from the Nasara Forest and reside in Verdalia. They possess the ability to move and walk, defying the traditional limitations of plant life. Virdis exhibit a symbiotic relationship with nature and possess powers and abilities related to plants, such as manipulating plant growth, communing with nature and harnessing the energy of the soil with their roots.

Artifex

Artifex are humanoid machines that have gained consciousness through unknown forces. They are a fusion of technology and arcane energy, possessing intricate mechanical bodies with hex elements. These beings have the ability to think, reason and develop personalities, making them the only mechanical sentient entities within the world of Haze. Those unique characteristics make them quite a rarity.
